How Does a Laundry Pod Packaging Line Work?
A packaging line can be arranged according to the selected package format and required production output. The following steps illustrate a typical process, with the final configuration depending on the actual project.
Product Feeding
Pods are transferred to the packaging system using a feeding arrangement designed around the product. Gentle handling is important to reduce unnecessary impact and friction.
Counting or Dosing
The system prepares the required number or quantity of pods for each package. The counting method and accuracy must be verified with the actual pod design and target pack quantity.
Pouch Picking
The pouch picking mechanism automatically picks premade pouches from the pouch magazine and transfers them to the next station. The gripper design is optimized to reliably pick single pouches and avoid double-sheet picking.
Discharge
Finished bags will be automatically discharged by the conveyor to the next steps, the discharge conveyor speed adjustable.
Metal detection
An optional metal detector can be integrated after packaging for additional product quality control.
Check weight
A checkweigher verifies the final package weight and can reject packs outside the preset tolerance.
